HERE'S WHAT OUR PATIENTS HAVE TO SAY...
We consider ourselves Dr. Thompson’s poster children for infertility! My husband has a spinal cord
injury and our conception process was a long haul, but it was definitely worth it - we now have a
17 month old son.
We worked really well with the staff - each one is very personable and made us feel so much at
ease throughout the whole process. They made us feel like part of their family - and their
staff is so stable and consistent. All of our favorite people are still working there which
shows how much they like what they do and how well they all work together.
Dr. Thompson gave us such excellent guidance- he provided us with a realistic view of what
our chances were and then was persistent and hopeful. It really made a difference. I don’t
want to be promised something that can’t be delivered. And, his numbers show how well he
does for his patients.

What can I say about Dr. Caperton? After a decade of trying to have a baby, through
multiple tests, months of clomid, failed IVI cycles, failed IVF cycles, multiple
physicians, including a top ranked infertility clinic in Denver, we had no
success until finally, we found the Center for Reproductive Medicine in
Albuquerque, NM and an amazing physician by the name of Dr. Lee Caperton.
In addition to his impressive background of education, teaching, research, awards
and years of experience, Dr. Caperton is an extremely kind, caring and dedicated
soul. I can't say enough good things about the dedication the entire team
shows to their patients. From the receptionists, to billing personnel, to
nursing and medical staff, we were treated with extreme compassion, professionalism
and utmost respect.
Dr. Caperton never hesitated to call me personally; he took the time to stop and
talk to me when seeing me outside of the clinic and he gave me a hug after our
visits. In fact, hugs and smiles are abundant there. What an overall positive
experience!! Now I am 5 months pregnant for the first time: with twins!!! A
healthy boy and girl. We just couldn't be more thrilled with the overall
experience and outcome of the CRM clinic in ABQ. I highly recommend it to
anyone who is considering seeking treatment options for infertility. You will
be glad you did.

Dr. Thompson did a great job and all of the nurses are really nice. It took us a couple of years
to get pregnant, and the nurses supported me through all the ups and downs that we experienced
along the way.

I liked Dr. Caperton’s straightforward demeanor; I really appreciated that he
didn’t make promises that he couldn’t keep. The odds were against us from the
beginning and he just kept telling us that “anything is possible”. He was
very patient with me: I had three surgeries which involved a lot recovery
time, plus drug therapies. It ended up being a year long process. But
I am now 17 weeks pregnant and we are both just thrilled.
The CRM staff is awesome and amazing- and they remembered me whenever I called
which is so unlike how patients are treated at most other doctors’ offices. They
knew what was going on and I felt as if everyone in the office was there pulling
for me. It’s a great feeling to have that kind of support behind you.
(Plus Dr. Caperton’s dry wit was always a hit; we really connected with him on a
personal level.)

After in vitro treatments with Dr. Thompson and his staff, we gave birth to a
daughter 17 months ago. We were recently considering moving to North Carolina, but
we checked out the success rates at infertility centers there, and saw that
their rates couldn’t even come close to Dr. Thompson’s. His statistics are just
unbelievable compared to others. One of the reasons we decided to stay in
Albuquerque for a few more years was so we could work with Dr. Thompson and his
staff to try to give our daughter a sibling!

More than anything, I appreciated Dr. Caperton’s honesty. We knew from
the beginning that our chances weren’t great. So rather than giving
us false hope and having us waste our money by getting stuck in an
endless fertility treatment cycle, Dr. Caperton helped us understand
the best way that we could have a family. It turned out that it wasn’t
by working with him and the Center for Reproductive Medicine; instead
I now have a beautiful adopted 5 month old son. Dr. Caperton isn’t
in it for the money; he’s in it to help his patients in a most caring
and compassionate way that shows he’s truly keeping the best interests
of his patients in mind.

What makes CRM so special and we think, ultimately so successful, is the one-on-one
monitoring that we received throughout the process by the same people every time. There
weren’t different staff people running in and out dabbling in our tests; the staff
got to know us so well, and they watched everything so closely. We think the very
close personal attention really makes a difference. Plus, we developed good
friendships with the nurses and other staff.
Another thing we appreciated was Dr. Thompson’s no-nonsense approach: he never gave us
false hope, and we really valued his candor. The bottom line is- they have given us
the ability to have a family of own. They make miracles happen.

I would recommend The Center for Reproductive Medicine to anyone. The staff is incredibly
respectful and friendly. They addressed all of our questions and concerns in a timely manner.
Dr. Caperton was caring and straightforward. He did surgery to remove a polyp that had been
agonizing me for a long time. His skill, attentiveness, and follow-up care were exceptional. He
then treated me for polycystic ovaries and I am thrilled to say that I am now pregnant for
the first time at 38! I will forever be grateful to Dr. Caperton and the Center for Reproductive
Medicine staff. The surgery alone had improved my life dramatically, but the help with my
fertility issues has made a dream come true.

I had tried 3 in vitro treatments at a well-known, large fertility clinic in Houston, Texas. Not
only were the treatments there unsuccessful, but I was treated badly as well. It was not a
pleasant experience. My husband and I were told by one of their doctors that it was useless, and
that we should either adopt an embryo or adopt a child. They gave us no hope.
When we moved here to Albuquerque, we thought, "Well, there can’t be anything better here in
New Mexico than in Houston," and boy, were we wrong. The whole experience here with Dr. Thompson
and the Center for Reproductive Medicine of New Mexico was different and much better than
in Texas. We received better care, and we worked one-on-one with Dr. Thompson. In
Houston, we’d be seen by different doctors and sometimes never even see a doctor at
all during our visit!
Being in a private practice, and in a private office is so amazing. The entire CRM staff
treated us with such care and respect. They all know what a difficult time it can be
and were so supportive no matter what the outcome.
I can’t say enough about how much they cared for me and how much they listened to me and
my concerns. They’re just phenomenal.
Thanks to Dr. Thompson and his staff, we now have a beautiful baby girl.
Stephanie T., Albuquerque, NM
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Thompson and his staff. Every single person
working there is very supportive, sympathetic and compassionate.
Going though infertility itself is a painful experience. But it was just amazing to me how
empowering it was to be around such a caring and concerned group of people. I don’t have
family nearby and it was wonderful to feel such a bond and connection with his staff.
Dr. Thompson is just awesome. As a human being, I really like him and then as a bonus, I got to
have him as my doctor!
Dr. Mike Reed in the lab is a very calming and centered presence. He was so helpful
working with my husband—very thorough and explained things in layman’s terms.
Unlike other clinics I’ve heard about, I wasn’t treated like a number, I was treated as a
human being with a specific challenge to try to overcome.
